Dr Jeff Brown

Dr Jeff Brown has always had a strong interest in Cosmetic Dentistry. He was a co-founder of the Australian Society of Aesthetic Dentistry and was President of the organisation for three years. He is a past and present affiliate member of the Australian Implant, Endodontic, Prosthodontic and Periodontic Associations.

Jeff grew up in Johannesburg, South Africa, graduating as a Dentist in 1980. He then went like so many other Dentists to live in London, where he had his own practice in London's West End.

In 1986 Dr Brown immigrated to Sydney and practiced in the city for three years before moving to North Sydney. He established Greenwood Dental in 1993 and then the Greenwood Dental Group in 2001.

Dr Brown is committed to all aspects of continuing education not only in Dentistry, but in all aspects of life, fitness and investing. He is a graduate of the Las Vegas Institute for Advanced Dental Studies.

On a personal level Dr Brown is married with three children and enjoys keeping fit in the gym, running, swimming, reading, gardening, music, theatre and boating.

Dr Michael Tam

Dr Michael Tam grew up in Auckland and obtained his BDS at Otago Dental School, Dunedin, New Zealand. After graduating, he embarked on a mission to escalate his knowledge in the field of General, Cosmetic and Implant Dentistry. He moved to Sydney, after a six-month training program in a high profile Cosmetic Dental Practice in Melbourne, and has never looked back.

With 15 years experience in the dental field, he obtained a Distinction Award from the NZDA in Continuing Dental Education and has developed relationships with dental practitioners from London, Europe, Asia, America and Canada.

He has worked in numerous private practices in New Zealand, Canberra, Melbourne and Sydney and is widely recognised as a founder and principal dentist of Greenwood Dental Group. He is a graduate of the Las Vegas Institute for Advanced Dental Studies.

Dr Tam completed an eighteen-month postgraduate advanced training programme - Graduate Diploma of Clinical Dentistry (Oral Implants) at the University of Sydney in association with Westmead Hospital. He also is currently involved in mentoring Dentists in Implant study groups (mentorship initiatives) in association with Nobel Biocare.

Dr Tam is committed to advancing studies in his areas of interest – Cosmetics, Surgical and Restorative Implant Dentistry and Complex Dental Rehabilitation in Australia, New Zealand and overseas and is an affiliate member of a variety of specialist Australian dental societies. He is a member of the American Academy of Cosmetic Dentistry and is a regular attendee at many national conferences.

On a personal level, Michael enjoys exercise, music and fitness training. He is married to Kylee (the true "boss" and a full time mum!) and they have two wonderful little boys, Jaidyn and Braxton and a beautiful daughter Kiara.

I remain a general dentist with a special interest in cosmetic and implant dentistry, in order not to limit the scope of care that I can offer my patients. Through my dedication to provide the best and finest dentistry, coupled with the knowledge that dental health is pivotal to general health, it is important that patients make informed choices regarding treatment that is most appropriate for the individual, in an environment of integrity, function, aesthetics and care.”

Dr Jack Obaid enjoys all facets of dentistry, particularly preventive programs and furthering his patient's dental knowledge. His other interests include conservative cosmetics, implants and orthodontics.

Dr Obaid was born and bred in suburban Sydney. He went to school at Christian Brothers and St Patrick's College before entering university. Dr Obaid graduated from Sydney University with honours and received the ‘Pierre Fauchard Academy Scholarship’ for outstanding academic achievements in dentistry.

Dr Obaid has worked in the United Kingdom, particularly in Yorkshire, where he gained fabulous experience. Dr Obaid then traveled widely before returning to his home in Sydney.

Dr Obaid is enthusiastic and offers 'sleep dentistry'. He finds that this method relieves the stress of many dental procedures with the patient sleeping through the procedure. Jack also offers the highly regarded InvisalignTM orthodontic treatment.

Dr Obaid believes in continued professional development and enjoys attending all further education opportunities. Dr Obaid is from a close family and has many friends in Sydney. In his spare time, Dr Obaid enjoys most sports; particularly rugby, cricket, rugby league, skiing and hiking. When relaxing, he enjoys reading, film and cooking.

"I believe patient care is the dentist's priority. That is why I strive to involve and educate my patients in their treatment as much as possible, so as to achieve a pleasant dental experience and prevention for the future."

Dr Tracy Le

Dr Tracy Le Greenwood Dental

Dr Tracy Le enjoys all aspects of general dentistry: particularly preventative and restorative dentistry.

She especially enjoys the family aspect and loves treating children.

Dr Le's aim is to: "create a life time relationship with my patients so we may develop a long term dental plan, educate and empower them to keep their natural teeth for the rest of their life."

Dr Le was raised and lived in Sydney nearly all her life, studying at MLC Burwood and graduated from Sydney University. She spent a number of years working in Bournemouth "the sunny south" of United Kingdom, where she had many great experiences professionally and through her travels.

Dr Le understands the importance of continued professional development and invests a good amount of time attending further education programs.

If she's not found at the dental surgery, Dr Le is out travelling or with friends. She loves adventure and the great outdoors and also enjoys reading and the movies.

Dr Tiffany Kenton

Dr Tiffany Kenton graduated from the University of Sydney in 1998 with Honours and received the Haddon Kemp Medal in Oral Surgery. Since graduation, Dr Kenton has been practicing in Sydney and enjoys all aspects of general dentistry. Dr Kenton has also performed the role of Associate Clinical Tutor to undergraduate dental students at the University of Sydney.

Dr Kenton is known as a "gentle dentist," continually making her patients feel at ease and is particularly good with anxious or dentally-phobic patients. She relates well with children and is mother to her gorgeous sons, Taj and Kai. She is a general dentist with an interest in cosmetic dentistry; especially anterior composites and preventative dentistry.

Dr Kenton believes that continuing education is the key to ensuring the her patients receive the most up to date and optimal dental care.

Outside dentistry, Dr Kenton enjoys going camping, four wheel driving, fishing, playing chess, cooking and long walks along the beach with her dog, Lucky.

Dr Kenton grew up in Sydney and now resides on the Northern Beaches.

 

Kristin Wheeler

Whilst striving to increase oral hygiene standards in general, Kristin’s real passion is providing treatment, and most importantly, dental awareness to our younger generation.  Kristin finds working with children as challenging as it is entertaining and always rewarding.

 

On a personal level, Kristin is still getting to know the city she, only recently, began to call home.  Nevertheless she still loves to return to Shellharbour, where she enjoys relaxing on the beach, playing tennis and personal training.

 

Angela WilliamsAngela Williams

Angela’s ambition has always been to be the ultimate professional dental ancillary providing wide-ranging support to the dentist in high-level patient care. Accordingly, she qualified as a Dental Therapist, a Dental Hygienist and a Dental Health Educator in the UK where she grew up.

 

Angela qualified in 1971 at Guys Hospital Dental School – London (Dental Therapy), 1974 at Royal London Hospital Dental College – London (Dental Hygiene) and 1975 Royal Society of Health – London – Diploma in Dental Health Education and is one of the most experienced Hygienists in Australia today.

 

Angela worked in dental research at the Royal London Medical College and also established a Dental Hygiene unit in a top-level private dental practice in Harley Street, before migrating to Australia in 1977.

 

Her seniority in her profession was recognised when she was appointed as the inaugural President of the Dental Hygienists Association of New South Wales in 1984. Angela has taken great satisfaction in watching the reputation of dental hygienists grow in Australia since those early days and in seeing the high quality of young professionals now entering this specialisation.

 

She greatly enjoys her relationship with her patients, some of whom have been under her care for more than 15 years.

 

Angela, who has a reputation for being gentle but thorough, has a holistic approach

to dentistry emphasising the importance of dental hygiene and dental health in the

well being of the total person and the importance of keeping a healthy mouth and

natural teeth throughout life.

 

Continuing education is important to Angela, so she attends many courses and feels

that we are going through a very exciting time in dentistry today.

 

Angela shares a busy life with her husband Paul, three adult children and first grandchild (Emily, born November 2009.) She likes to keep active at weekends and enjoys travel, theatre, films, hiking, horse-riding and learning golf.

Milry Braun 

Born in the Philippines, Milry moved to Australia when she was nine years old.  After graduating from high school in wine country Mudgee, Milry moved to Sydney to study her Bachelor of Science at Macquarie University. Whilst working as a dental nurse, she was encouraged by her former employer to take a hygiene course. In 2005, she received her associate degree in dental hygiene with distinction from Curtin University (Perth) and was also awarded the Colgate award for best hygiene student. Milry has been at Greenwood Dental since August 2006.

 

Milry believes that sound oral health is an integral part of being healthy and as a hygienist, she enjoys assisting patients in attaining the optimal in oral health and function whilst minimising the potential for dental risk. She thrives on making a difference and is proactive about making patients' hygiene visits as pleasant and comfortable as possible. At your hygiene visits you’re sure to find Milry with a ready smile and a cheerful

enthusiastic disposition.

 

In her free time, when she is not attending dental seminars or reading up on the up to date dental practices and health research journals, Milry enjoys spending her time with family and friends. She is an enthusiastic amateur tennis player, artist, cook and reader.
