Dr Benjamin Barrera

Dr Barrera grew up in Sydney and wanted to be a dentist from his first year of university after undertaking work experience in a dental surgery.

He finished high school at Redfield College before completing a Bachelor of Science majoring in neuroscience at Sydney University. He then moved to Queensland where he received his Bachelor of Oral Health in Dental Science, followed by a Graduate Diploma of Dentistry, from Griffith University. During his time there he was the President of the Dental Students' Association and asked by the School to carry out the position as a School Ambassador to help promote dentistry and oral health amongst local schools.

Dr Barrera enjoys all aspects of dentistry and is particularly enthusiastic about making dental visits as relaxed and comfortable as possible for his patients. He is looking forward to developing his interests in endodontics, orthodontics and aesthetic dentistry.

Outside dentistry his hobbies include rowing, tennis, playing the piano and enjoying life with his friends and fiancée, Edwina.

Dr Barrera is available on alternate Saturdays 8.15am to 3.45pm.
